Publicly funded care
Florida pays for treatment for people who can’t afford it through regional organizations called managing entities. Palm Beach County’s is Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network, or SEFBHN. It funds a community system of detox, treatment and recovery support for adults and teens.
Palm Beach County also funds local agencies through its Office of Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorders, and lists them online.

Frequently asked questions
Is there free rehab in Palm Beach County?
Funded care exists for people who qualify, though availability varies. Start with 211 or SEFBHN.
Can I get on Medicaid?
You may qualify. Ask 211 or apply through the state. Coverage depends on income and other rules.
What is a sliding scale?
A fee based on what you earn. Ask outpatient providers whether they offer one.
Someone offered me free rehab and a flight. Is that OK?
Be careful. Free travel or rent in exchange for treatment is a known warning sign in Florida. See our page on patient brokering.
